Credentials
I graduated from Mount Holyoke college in the turbulent ‘60’s, earning a B.A. in psychology and dance; and went on to get an M.S. degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University. For the next 25 years I was a stay-at-home mom raising 7 children, and supported my husband’s work researching African traditional medicine. In mid-life I enrolled at Georgia State University, and began a career as a registered nurse. As I worked in Oncology/Hematology and Infectious Disease (HIV/AIDS). I began to see that the patients needed support that my nursing responsibilities would not allow. I began to explore other healing methods, and fell in love with the gentle, non-invasive methods and holistic approach of the Healing Touch Program. I completed 5 rigorous levels of training and became certified in 2018. Now retired from hospital nursing, I find that I can expand my nursing practice beyond the physical body; however, my background in nursing makes me a better informed Healing Touch Practitioner. I have re-discovered the joy of dancing, and I currently dance with another group of seniors, Engele-Edeliegba.
