DEBORAH is a minister, entrepreneur, consultant, nurse educator, energy medicine practitioner/instructor, massage therapist, wellness warrior, therapeutic sound practitioner and healing outreach clinical practitioner within healthcare and community agencies. She worked as a Nurse Specialist in Utilization Management at Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) in Anchorage for five ½ years, serving as elected President of the Nursing Staff (May 2007-2009) and providing inpatient clinical integrative medicine consultant services for end-of-life care. In the role as an Integrated Concurrent Reviewer at Providence Alaska Medical Center, she performed utilization reviews and coordinated continuing education, facilitated monthly community-wide case management network for over 8 years, taught Diversity classes throughout the Providence Health Care System (1996-2005) and recognized as 2001 Mission Spirit Award winner for outstanding performance. Significant roles within mental health nursing were Director of Psychiatric Emergency Team and Director of Education. Other career experiences include long term community care roles, such as Geriatric Nurse Consultant, Coordinator of Care and Nurse Educator. Other professional experiences include as a national Medical Services Consultant included assistance with employee and occupational health case management for promoting wellness measures, safe workplace environments, injured worker advocacy and return to work transition planning. She has a special heart centered spirit ”Caring enough to serve” and “Helping those who are helping others” within populations and organizations to empower self-care as an essential tool to make a significant difference in the quality of lives on earth.
