WHY I PRACTICE HEALING TOUCH George Anzinger HTP
I have had a lifelong interest in spiritual practice, conscious development and the healing arts. I became curious about meditation over 40 years ago and started doing Transcendental Meditation. Over the years I have explored and practiced various meditation approaches and energy based traditions including Aikido and Tai Chi Chuan.
After reading Joy's Way by Dr. W. Brugh Joy, M.D., I started attending Dr. Joy's classes on the Human Energy Field and the Healing Arts. I attended my first residential retreat with him in 1979 and continued to participate in his classes in residential retreat settings through 1991. One of the questions Brugh had me pondering was if I want to develop through the 3rd center or the 4th one, i. e. through the power center or through the heart center.
In 2001 I joined the Diamond Heart program of the Ridhwan School. While in the program I attended regular retreats and group sessions to deepen my understanding of depth psychology, meditation and to continue my personal growth and development. I left the Ridwhan School in 2011 after realizing that my path is through the heart and that the Ridwhan School, while teaching some things about the heart center, was focused elsewhere.
In early 2012 I started taking Healing Touch (HT) classes through the Healing Touch Program and immediately realized, via felt sense, that HT is heart centered. (It is one thing to say that HT is heart centered, which they do, and another thing to directly experience it.) This is the main reason I have continued practicing and studying HT.
HT is an energy based approach to health and balancing the body's energy field. I was pleased to discover this remarkable program, founded by Janet Mentgen, B.S.N, R.N., has integrated the work of Dr. Brugh Joy, M.D., as well as Rosalyn Bruyere, D.D., Barbara Brennan, Alice Bailey and other pioneers in the field of energy work, consciousness and healing. Janet Mentgen formalized these procedures and techniques and developed a format that was accessible to medical professionals (primarily nurses) and incorporated the acceptable and standard forms of medical documentation. These techniques can be learned and practiced by those interested in supporting and maintaining health by working, from the heart, with the Human Energy Field. I find HT to be a beneficial practice which I use regularly with my wife, Kay Tolson, to support and maintain our health.
I practice primarily in our Healing Studio at 2574 Lake Meadow Drive in Lafayette, CO. I maintain appropriate insurance for my practice. You can reach me at 303-604-6462 or by email at george@HealingArtsNet.net. I am currently a Healing Touch Practitioner (HTP).
HT is a complementary health care therapy and is not intended to replace any care you are receiving from other qualified practitioners in the health care field. When I make suggestions or recommendations to you please discuss them with your primary care physician. If you have questions or concerns please discuss them with me during our session.
